Papa Bob, Galen, Sullivan, and James built a bridge across Big Laurel Creek using locust logs from the woods and locust planks (2x8) from the saw mill up the road.
Israel and I catch the first swarm of the 2008 spring season at Faith Mountain Farm. I started out by myself, but Israel showed up and helped with the video.
While cleaning up some bee equipment we found a barrel. The boys wanted to play with it. Another barrel (our barn trashcan) was soon involved, and a new past time was born, barrel rolling, along with ancillary activities like hula hooping, riding inside barrels, and babies crying. I hear a more sophisticated act involving pieces of wood and an incline are in the works!
Lucy the dog has a special bark that tells us she has cornered a snake. She found this one next to Big Laurel creek, which flows through our farm. I was able to catch it and show it off to the family.
