Olivier Latry played stunningly this during his concert in the Esztergom Cathedral in 96. Belive it or not, this organ has not been finished yet. You hear approximately 50 stops working on this record. Hopefully one day this organ will be finished and all 147 stops will work. Read more on the organ visit: www.esztergomorgan.c om
Notre - Dame de Paris, 1992 right after the restoration ended one of the world's best organ. I personally prefer the sound of Cochereau's era from 1971 to 1990. Sometimes the the chamade reeds on third manual sounds like Cochereau's. Anyway I thing Lefebvre is extremely genius and represents the next generation.
13.04.2008 at Notre Dame, Sunday Mass. Sorry for the missing end. Unfortunately KTOTV splits the broadcasting. Still can be interesting, I still love it even if I never heard the end:-)
Philippe Lefebvre was improvising this during a Sunday Mass at Notre-Dame, 16.03.2008. Sorry for having cut off the end so rudely, but the priest hadn't waited even a microsec:-)
Enjoy this truly talented improviser as much you tube can give it back a bit. This way we might have an insight what's going on in Paris...
10.08.2008 Sortie improvisation by Philippe Lefebvre. Unfortunately the end is missing, if someone has this whole improvisation recorded, please send me :-)
