Change can feel really, really, really scary. Especially if in the past any time you've tried to change people have given you a lot of "Change Back Messages". Or they've treated like you don't know what you are talking about, you don't deserve anything good, or you're there to serve them.

What is abuse? I was in denial I was being abused. I internalized the things my abuser was saying. An internal war ensued where I questioned my worth but on the outside I was articulate and independent.
Shelters need to do more in the community to educate women about abuse.

Share Christmas is a program at Birchmount Bluffs Neighbourhood Centre. Adoptive Families provide a Christmas of food, clothing, toys, and books to other Birchmount neighbourhood families in need.
