Former NDP Industry Critic and perpetual thorn in Jim Prentice's side, Charlie Angus continues to direct the June 4th, 2008 Question Period agenda to the Copyright reform issue. Angus, the author, broadcaster, editor, journalist, negotiator, singer, MP and all around good guy demands a fair and open debate on this important issue.
Jim Prentice appeared on the Mike Duffy show on June 12, 2008 to spin the Canadian DMCA as a piece of "made in Canada" legislation which will benefit consumers and creators alike. This is clearly not the case. This Bill was "born in the USA" and serves only to benefit US corporate interests at the expense of Canadian consumer rights.
