Particularly heartfelt routine from 1984 - well, we know it was based on personal experience! Around this time he seemed to be developing the observational side of his act and leaving behind the more traditional jokes.
It does tend to be the big musical numbers that get shown these days. But to me the truly great aspect of their shows was the intimacy of their relationship and the scenes in their imaginary flat, including their shared bed! It always seemed perfectly natural that Eric and Ernie should be in bed together!
