During the 2003 Cal-oregon game the lighting system suddenly shut down in the 4th quarter, leading to almost a 20 minute delay. This delay allowed oregon to regroup and charge on to a huge late 4th quarter comeback winning the game 21-17.
Before the start of the 2002 Oregon-WSU game Keith Jackson (a WSu alumn) and Dan Fouts (a former Oregon QB) ham it up in their team colors during the pregame show
One of the weirdest games ever played, here are the final minutes of the 2000 Oregon-ASU game. ORegon gets stopped on 4th and goal at the 1, then get the ball back and force OT. Oregon QB Joey Harrington goes psycho on the sidelines, and Oregon wins 56-55 in double OT.
Oregon safety Keith Lewis comes up with the play of the game, blocking a punt that was recovered by Jordan Carey in the endzone in what proved to be the game-winning points in Oregon's 2003 victory over Michigan 31-27.
Oregon CB Steven Moore returns a Michigan punt for a touchdown in the first half. Three horrible punts doomed Michigan on the day in oregon's 31-27 win. One a muffed fake, another a blocked punt recovered for a TD, and this one returned for a touchdown.
The stupidest thing the University of Oregon ever did, unleashing Roboduck on the world. Here is the halftime feature from the 2002 Stanford-Oregon game where they introduce Roboduck. I like Giansante's line "one thing's for sure, he's here to stay!" Roboduck, M.I.A. since the 2002 basketball season.
ESPN College Gameday on opening day did a big feature on the Oregon Ducks coming off of their #2 finish and big Fiesta Bowl victory in the 2001 season with a feature they called, QUACK BACK!
Unfortunately thanks to a pair of freshman cornerbacks and DC Nick Allioti's "man on an island" defensive concept 2002 was not a very fun year for the Ducks.
I made this video comprised of a bunch of highlights from the Washington-Oregon game played 8-30-08 at Autzen Stadium. It's not in any particular order, except for the tribute to Oregon safety Todd Doxey, who died in July in a drowning accident alongside his shocked teammates. 2008 is dedicated to Doxey, GO DUCKS!!!
Joey Harrington leads one of his signature comeback drives as an Oregon Duck with this QB sneak late in the 4th quarter on a 4th inches versus Wisconsin on 9/01/01 at Autzen Stadium.
Oregon safety JD Nelson absolutely stuns Fresno State WR Paul Williams in one of the hardest hitting games I've ever seen, Oregon @ Fresno State 9/09/06.
During the 2006 Civil War halftime they did a flashback to the 1983 Civil War game, arguably the worst football game ever played, and the last 0-0 tie in the history of the NCAA.
Orgeon's FG attempt is blocked, but FSU stupidly touches the ball and Oregon recovers, setting up a brutal stiff arm from Oregon RB Jeremiah Johnson as he rumbles into the endzone vs Fresno State 9/09/06.
Oregon safety Patrick Chung is the only one on the field that realizes that the whistle didn't blow, picks up the ball and scores on a TD. It was later reversed that the QB's arm was going forward.
Oregon CB Justin Phinisee returns a punt for a touchdown vs. UCLA on 11/13/2004. Unfortunately Oregon would go on to lose the game due in part to a horrible call by the refs with less than a minute left calling a catch incomplete that was good for a first down. Oh well, win some lose some.
