On Sunday May 25th 2008, the Mary Valley Heritage Railway celebrated 10 years of operating The Valley Rattler steam train through the scenic countryside of the Mary Valley branch line.
We follow the train lead by C17 967 as it pulls its 10 carriage train with approxamatley 420 passengers on its way to Imbil where the official celebration will take place.
A ride on the locomotive and inside the train on a half day tour from Beaudesert to Bethania and back to Beaudesert.

The Rangelander hauled by English Electric locomotive 1620 departs Toowoomba on an empty run down the range to Helidon while passengers enjoy a dinner in the Railway Refreshment Rooms. The passengers will be bussed to Helidon where they will re-join the train for the run back to Brisbane

On Wednesday March 19 2008 C17 974 was rostered on to operate a special week day steam train excursion to Sandgate to help celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht race, held annually.
BB18¼ 1079 steams out of the Toowoomba City on its way back down to Brisbane after an excursion for the Carnival of Flowers. The train is seen crossing Jelicoe St.
