A man is in his own little world on Breda 3040 on the Washington Metro's Yellow Line to Huntington, singing a song to himself, loudly enough for everyone around him to hear him - and make fun of him. The man is singing "Puff the Magic Dragon".
A child attempts to skate at the outdoor ice skating rink at Pentagon Row, in the Pentagon City neighborhood of Arlington, Virginia, near Washington DC. The child falls several times while trying to skate with an overturned bucket. Loss of control of the bucket causes other skaters passing by to temporarily lose their balance.
The fire alarm is going off at the Hecht's (now Macy's) in downtown Washington! Besides the slow-whoop of the fire alarm, you can also hear the camera jostling around in its bag, and me talking to a store employee. I shot this movie covertly, with the camera in the bag the whole time, because I was really only interested in the sound.
