ALAMEDA, Calif.- The Coast Guard announced that it had made record cocaine seizures in 2007 in a press conference held on Coast Guard island here today. Rear Admiral Craig Bone, Commander of the Eleventh Coast Guard District, and Captain Peter Brown, Commanding Officer, Coast Guard Cutter Boutwell, spoke on the success. Advanced Helicopter Rescue School is located in Astoria Oregon. The U.S. Coast Guard teaches the latest techniques and practices to aircrews from around the country. The school is a week long and runs during the fall and spring months when high seas thrash the Northwest coastline.
