18 Mile Creek was full of ice and slush on March 25, 2008, causing us to wait an hour or so before we could start fishing for steelhead. We caught plenty after it warmed up!

Andrew Fighting the First fish of our 2006 trip to 18 Mile Creek by Olcott on Wednesday of Thanksgiving week. Turned out to be a King Salmon. They're still in good condition at 18 mile that late in the year.

This is a preview of the 18 mile and 6 mile races which took place on Sept 2 & 3 2006 in Kailua Kona, Hawaii. This race is considered the world's largest long distance outrigger canoe race and this years was the 35th annual race. This year there were more than 1700 paddlers in the 18 mile race on Saturday. Sundays 6 mile races included OC1, OC2, OC6 and double hull.
