U.S. Gypsum in Plaster City, California has a unique 3' narrow gauge railroad used to transport gypsum from its quarry.
I caught the ALCo DL535 #111 blowing its horn and crossing the street on its way to pick up empties. It's a six axle unit with a Canadian Safety Cab, typical of Montreal Locomotive Works (MLW) built units.

Here is part 2 of us washing the Mt. Rainier Scenic Railroad Alco 2-8-2T we finish up by washing the sides and i hit the front of the engine again with the washer just to get the leftover grime off. Somewhere in the video the bell rope gets cut by the high pressure jet of water But that can be replaced easialy.

The Ontario Southland is putting on a great show switching cars at Guelph Ontario. The throttle response is instantaneous, unlike GE and EMD. The sounds are great. This locomotive is sidelined at this time due to crank shaft failure. It MAY be repaired if funds alow. Originally 1311 with the CV the RS 11 was moved from Winchester VA to DL trackage by Norfolk Southern. Then is hauled off by DL. Every locomotive is a different color.
