Una delle rarissime vittorie della Cagiva 500, qui a Laguna Seca guidata da John Kocinski, fù talmente scioccante questa vittoria che la Cagiva si fece fare anche una canzone (meglio dire un inno) che riprendeva l' evento (la canzone è quella in sottofondo nel video).
