Discovery-News.com: Building sandcastles this summer could mean coming into contact with strains of the E. coli bacteria, at least at some freshwater beaches, according to a new study.
Pembroke officials finally had good news Friday, Aug. 15, announcing 32 water samples taken Thursday came back clean of total coliform, including E. coli. Residents have been living under a boil order since Aug. 8 when officials first announced the presence of bacteria in the water.
