On 18th July 2007 HMS Daring departed Scotstoun, Glasgow to commence sea trials. HMS Daring is the first of class Type 45 Destroyer due to enter service with the Royal Navy.
The Type 45 class will be the largest and most powerful air defence destroyers ever operated by the Royal Navy.
Daring is the first of six ships ordered by the UK Ministry of Defence.
