Back in Shanghai, Derek and myself picked up some rabbit ears at the affordable cost of 6 yuan per set (less than $1), and decided to have some goofy random fun on the streets of Beijing. Tiananmen Square was the natural choice... No arrests were made, and in fact the police seemed quite tickled by this. The locals thought we were there with the Special Olympics though...

Another weekend trip, this time to Qingdao on the coast of the Yellow Sea.

Just a short of the rest of Qingdao trip. German Governor's Residence, and a really stupid-slow bus ride home from Beijing Station which caused me to miss work on Monday.

After some shennanigans in Chengdu we headed out to the Panda Research Centre on the outskirts of the city. The faccility is a phenomenal place, a really well put together research faccility which also serves to educate the public, and excite the hordes of giddy panda-loving girls.

From Leshan we headed to Kangding with a stop in Ya'an. Kangding is the beginning of the Tibetan culture, or a variation thereof, in these parts known as "Kham". Visit to a temple, some roaming, very chilled.
