"Copyright music and lyrics reproduced by kind permission of Exile Music." I saw someone do this on You tube, downloaded the words last night and gave it a shot; it's been a long time since I heard the original. It is my impression and not a cover. Capo 3rd fret. I always liked it, the mystique of "sailing into the mystic," the void where all creative things are posssible. Thanks for listening.
"Copyright music and lyrics reproduced by kind permission of Exile Music." This song always brings me back to a day of fishing and the descriptive story of friendship it brings to mind. It's dedicated to my man Hank Suzzi, a great fisherman and brother to me. Great tune by the Celtic man Van Morrison. Thanks for listening.
"Copyright music and lyrics reproduced by kind permission of Exile Music." Always loved this song. It invokes thoughts of passion, strength and resolve for the love of a "fare maiden." Great respect for the Celtic man who wrote it! Thanks for listening.
I always liked this Bad Comapny tune. Paul Rogers has the most amazing voice, one of the great rock tenors of all time. I don't do the intro here. But I like the theme of this song, and I beleive it's based on a true story, sad though the ending is. Thanks for listening.
I love the way the Stones put this song together, with Jagger on the main verse and Richards on part of the chorus; true masters. Like all Stones tunes, there is this "groove" or feeling that is so classic, between Richard's rythmn and Jagger's voice. I improvised my version with a faster tempo, and really enjoyed playing it. Thanks for listening.
I love the way Paul Rogers sings this song; he is truly one of the great rock tenors. This is my interpretation of this classic song, less the intro. Thanks for listening.
I have been corrected on the name, so I've made the change: Handle With Care, by the Traveling Wilburys. I saw Tom Petty do it on satelite. Key of G. Always loved this tune. Standard tuning (unlike "End of the Line," which I tuned down a whole step). Thanks for listening.
My favorite Denver tune. Tough to sing the highs (I can't). John was such a spirited man in his words and attribution to the wild, Cousteau and others who protect our fragile eco-system; his voice was second to none! Love playing this. Capo 2nd fret, lower low E to a D. Thanks for listening.
I got the chords from guitar tab, went home and made this the same day; it's my interpretation after several tries. I liked singing it, and the chord practice was secondary to me. Thanks for listening.
"Looking out my back door" by John Fogarty, who founded CCR (Creedence Clearwater Revival.) Always loved this tune. Maybe someone can get something out of it.
To me, Bob Dylan is the greatest musical poet of the 20th century. His words express and reach our souls in ways that inspire and remind us of times past. Love his songs and thinking. Thanks for listening.
I always liked the compassion and empathy you feel from this song. Bob Marley was a champion of civil rights and fighting injustice. You can feel the optimism and postive outlook he conveys, even in the darkest times, from his passionate lyrics. Thanks Bob Marely! Thanks for listening.
This song is dedicated to my friend Karima, Jbfan2000, who is a huge Jackson Browne fan. It has always been one of my favorite JB tunes. Thanks for listening.
This song has a special tuning (TUNING: D A D G B D; then I lowered it another whole step). Tough song to sing and play. I practiced it about 10 times then cut this version. With more practice, I think it's a straight-forward tune to do and really one very cool Allman Brothers song. Thanks for listening.
This is such a great Stones tune. Keith played it many different ways over the years. I like them all, but this open-E version sounds like the old stuff to me. Open E tuning, capo 8th fret. Thanks for listening.
Beer for My Horses, by Toby Keith and Willie Nelson. My LVMPD cousin Chris turned me on to this song; it's dedicated to him, all those lawmen out there and their benevolent protector Arc Angel Michael who keep our streets safe! Capo 2nd fret. Thanks for listening.
My guitar is tuned down a whole step to better suit my voice. I always loved this song and it's dedicated to my friend in Ireland, Ciaron! Thanks for listening.
This traditional song was covered by Thin Lizzy and Metalica. I love the lead riff, and improvised a short riff for the song (thanks Bruce). Stirs my Celtic blood. Tuned down a whole step. Thanks for listening.
I felt like doing an acoustic version. I changed the position of one of the riffs, and made a few "glithces" here and there. I'll redo it. But thought I'd post it so someone could get something out of it. Thanks for listening.
