Clashes in Democratic Republic of the Congo's North Kivu province continues to force people to flee. The violence in the eastern province has also hampered efforts to bring aid to the most needy, with some roads and entire villages cut off by fighting. The displaced are in need of shelter and UNHCR is now constructing new camps.

Despite a decrease in violence in Iraq, millions of people remain displaced. This is the story of 50 displaced families living in a former hospital in the central Iraqi city of Fallujah.
As conflict in Somalia continues to rage, the number of people fleeing the fighting has topped one million. Makeshift camps close to Mogadishu are overflowing and many of the displaced are moving further afield to areas where conditions are better.
