Sling Media has announced a new Slingbox that allows place-shifting of 1080i HD content. Gone is the old Windows CODEC and now we have a Slingbox with h.264. Very cool little box, and very sleek.

Keep an eye on the keys of the Optimus Maximus keyboard. Each key is a small OLED display that can be customized for different functions. Ben LOVES this thing.
This WiFi solution allows one to stream their computer display, including videos, to a remote TV or monitor. There are two receivers, one has component and composite outputs and the other has VGA and DVI. There's a wee bit of a lag so it's out when it comes to gaming, but for watching movies on your new HDTV, this is a great solution. More info at http://www.addlogix. com/

The hackers at buglabs.net have come up with a really interesting lego-like hackable computer. The base unit is a Linux box with additional modules that can be snapped on. Not for the faint of heart, not only is hacking encouraged, it's required!

CES - Rich Buchanan 7:46 1/12/07 Sling Media announced a few new devices at CES. One of these is the Sling Catcher which allows you to sling media from one tv in your house to another, or as they describe it a Slingbox in reverse.
