Pacing is always fun! We picked the right train to pace too. BNSF GP60M 132, still in Warbonnet paint, along with a BNSF GP60B, lead the S CHCTAC, a stack train from Chicago, Illinois (Cicero Yard) to Tacoma, Washington. Here, we have a meet in Rochelle, IL. Both trains are on the BNSF Aurora Subdivision. BNSF Dash 9-44CW 5436, BNSF Dash 9-44CW 5259 and Conrail (NS) SD40-2 3411 lead a westbound manifest. While the westbound manifest was passing by, an eastbound manifest made a nice appearance. CSXT AC4400CW 291 and CSXT C40-8W 7752 powered the eastbound manifest.

BNSF ES44DC 7551, BNSF Dash 9-44CW 5434 and BNSF Dash 9-44CW 4836 lead a westbound stack train through Berwyn, IL., on the BNSF Chicago Subdivision. In the beginning of the video, the train can be seen departing Clyde Yard.

KCS Southern Belle ACe's seem to be showing up more and more around the Chicagoland area lately, but this is the first time I've ever seen one on the point of a BNSF intermodal. 4111 is in charge of the Stockton, California to Chicago, Illinois Q train. This was filmed in Coal City, Illinois.

IAIS SD38-2 155 and IAIS GP38-2's 700, 701, 719 and 714 lead the westbound BICB (Blue Island, IL. to Council Bluffs, Iowa) through Seneca, IL. Five long hood forward Southern style IAIS units, 400+ axles...and joined rail to boot. Does it get any better? What a chase this was!

This was certainly a nice and unexpected surprise. UP's one of a kind United Way SD40-2 3300 leads the way on a westbound stack train through Elburn, IL. on the UP Geneva Subdivision. The horn on 3300 was loud. UP SD40-2 2987 tags along with 3300.

Today's high priority manifest from Grand Forks, ND. to the Belt Railway of Chicago (GFDBRC, also known as the "Gift Brick") had some nice power. In charge is SOO Line SD60 6022. Trailing are two SD40-2's, in BN Cascade green and ATSF Santa Fe Bluebonnet. The train is slowly entering the BNSF's Eola Yard.
We were given a very big treat today! Amtrak Dash 8 P32BWH 515 leads Amtrak inbound Lincoln Service train number 304 through Lockport, IL., on the CN Joliet Subdivision.
515 is still in its beautiful Phase IV paint scheme!

UP 3889 highballs a westbound stack train through Lockport, IL. on the BNSF Chillicothe Subdivision. UP 3889 has a sick horn. Many of the UP SD70M's have horns like that. As the train was approaching, it created a dust storm. ComEd is visible in the background.
