The Black History 101 Mobile Museum showcased its refurbished travel trailer at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Detroit on April 20. The exhibit was attended by approximately 300 people. The exhibit had a variety of rare Hip Hop related material objects. The graffiti concept was done in tribute to Proof and JDilla.
The Black History 101 Mobile Museum was founded by Detroit Public School educator, Khalid el-Hakim. With an archive of over 1500 artifacts of rare Black memorabilia, the Black History 101 Mobile Museum travels to campuses and cultural events around the country exhibiting powerful displays that celebrate the Black experience.

Chuck D and Professor Griff paid a visit to the Black History 101 Mobile Museum on the campus of Marygrove College on September 17. The Black History 101 Mobile Museum was started by Detroit Public School educator, Khalid el-Hakim. The collection is over 1500 artifacts Black memorabilia that celebrates the contribution, achievement and struggle of the Black experience.
