Photographs and film clips of arrivals and departures at London City Airport on January 12th 2007 with the background music this time being a stunning rendition of Pachebels Cannon in D Major.
Closed Decemeber 2007 until at least June 2010 for work on the East London Line extension, which will link Dalston and Highbury with Croydon and Crystal Palace. When it reopens the A Stock trains seen here will not be a feature of the line!!
O.N.E (the company with the silly name!) trains seen in 2006. Most of the DVTs are seen in debranded Virgin colours. Class 360s, 321s and 156 can also be seen!
Not bad for a Sunday in March, we were there for the best part of two hours and it was busy almost the whole time!
Music for the compliation is Just Jack - Starz in their Eyes
A trip around London, which includes: Barbican, West Hampstead Thameslink, Swiss Cottage (Jubilee Line), Leyton Midland Road (Gospel Oak to Barking), Leytonstone (Central Line), Stratford (with its new DLR station), All Saints (DLR) and Wimbledon (where a pair of 458s depart on a diverted Reading service)
A bright, but very cold, afternoon at London City Airport! Music is by Dmitrii Shostakovich and is Waltz 2 From Jazz Suite, it's also a track from Eyes Wide Shut. Back to LCY and things are changing, no more Scot Air, a lot more Cityjet and soon to be some transatlantic BA flights with A318s!
The Underground videos from my Saturday evening in London. With District Line part-suspended and the Circle line totally suspended the Underground lines that were running were a little stretched!
Using Easyjet's £10 sale a trip to Holland was in order! Two airports (Schipol and Rotterdam) as well as the interesting trains and trams in Delft, The Hague and Rotterdam. Whilst Schipol is the Dutch equivalent of London Heathrow, Rotterdam is a much smaller version of London City Airport!
First Great Western seen in 2003 with services going to Waterloo at Easter and even a cameo appearance of a Class 180 which were just coming on stream.
